ETHAN EDWARDS is an artist and programmer currently studying at Columbia’s Sound Arts Program. His work explores generative and interactive structures and attempts to locate traditional aesthetic themes within new media.
YINGJIA (LEMON) GUO is a composer, singer, and sound artist. She received her BA from the University of Virginia and is currently a 1st year MFA student in Sound Arts at Columbia University. Born in Fuzhou, China in 1993, she grew up studying Minzuchangfa, the controversial official Chinese folk singing style, which has become a major influence on her work.
ASHLEY GRIER is an opera singer, sound artist, and composer from South Carolina. She has recorded and performed with many artists including Hiatus Kaiyote, Havasi, Pharoahe Monch, Adam Rudolph, and Ralph M. Jones. She holds a B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Vocal Performance. She is currently an MFA candidate in Columbia University’s Sound Arts program.
GERONIMO MERCADO is a musician and sound artist born in Spain to Puerto Rican parents. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a dual major in Film Scoring and Music Business & Management. He is currently working on two new feature films for the Caribbean market, OVNI and La Sagrada Familia, to be released by the end of 2016. He currently studies at Columbia University under the direction of Brad Garton and Miya Masaoka.
