Dana Reason

DANA REASON is a Canadian-born composer, improviser, pianist, and music researcher. She has performed extensively throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, and can be heard on over 14 recordings. She has written for both large and small ensembles. In the early 2000s Reason was part of The Space Between trio with Pauline Oliveros and Philip Gelb. Reason holds a B.Mus from McGill University; a MA in Composition from Mills College and a PhD in Critical Studies/Experimental Practices from the University of California, San Diego. Reason is currently on the faculty of music at Oregon State University.
